Welcome! The Houston Alumnae Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta was founded in 1921 and is now the largest alumnae chapter in the nation with approximately 650 dues-paying members. We are a welcoming group of women of all ages and varied interests who enjoy our Theta sisterhood and friendship. We hope you will join us!
2020-2021 Online Member Directory
Beginning this year, your member directory is available online – 24 hours a day and 7 days a week! Access it from your computer, save it to your phone, or even print it out if you like. The password has been distributed to alumnae chapter members via email. If you cannot find yours or did not receive the email, let us know (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we’ll get you connected.
Pre-baked cookies, icing, and tools will be provided (gluten free options available). Our cookie connoisseur instructor, Kaysley Hoff, will start with a lesson on icing basics. Then, you’ll get to ice and decorate with expert guidance and tips. For those joining virtually, a cookie kit will be sent to you before the weekend that includes the cookies, icing and tools. Registration is being subsidized by the Alumnae Chapter, but your portion to cover the costs is $30. We’ll have multiple computers set up and you’ll be able to catch up with your Theta friends and receive Kaysley’s guidance, just like you’re there in person! In-person participants will be well-distanced, and wear masks. Everyone will have their own tools and icings so we won’t be sharing, to ensure everyone’s safety. For those who prefer to participate virtually, a Zoom link will be provided prior to the event. Please note: we won’t be able to provide refunds after registration, but you’ll still receive your cookie decorating kit to enjoy at your leisure.
Registration deadline: March 14 (limited to 32 participants)

At the May 8 Houston Theta Alumnae General meeting, President-Elect Dinah McClymonds asked that we consider contributing to a local Child Advocates family who was in desperate need of a family table and chairs to accommodate eight. The family includes five children under the age of eight, and their adoptive mother, grandmother and aunt. Thetas generously contributed $1663 towards this purchase. See the video featuring our own Dinah and her Child Advocate friend Mary Kae Dingler as they present Nikki Sherman with the funds collected. Also check out the photos of the five children at their new family table. In addition, Ms. Sherman was able to purchase a comfortable new sectional and much-anticipated backyard swimming pool! Thank you to all the Thetas who supported Child Advocates and provided a wonderful Mother’s Day gift for this young family.
