At the May 8 Houston Theta Alumnae General meeting, President-Elect Dinah McClymonds asked that we consider contributing to a local Child Advocates family who was in desperate need of a family table and chairs to accommodate eight. The family includes five children under the age of eight, and their adoptive mother, grandmother and aunt. Thetas generously contributed $1663 towards this purchase. See the video featuring our own Dinah and her Child Advocate friend Mary Kae Dingler as they present Nikki Sherman with the funds collected. Also check out the photos of the five children at their new family table. In addition, Ms. Sherman was able to purchase a comfortable new sectional and much-anticipated backyard swimming pool! Thank you to all the Thetas who supported Child Advocates and provided a wonderful Mother’s Day gift for this young family.
